BIT Mesra MCA Course Details

The MCA program at BIT Mesra is spread over 2 years comprising 4 semesters. The course structure of the MCA programs consists of various courses, programme electives, laboratory work, projects/seminars, MOOCs, etc. Each theory course of the MCA programs consists of 3 credits in total, while each laboratory work consists of 1.5 credits in total. 

• 20 credits are awarded for the project completion while a total of 6 credits is awarded for the Small projects or MOOCs in each semester. 
• Also, a candidate pursuing MCA is required to enroll into the industrial training of the programme during the final semester of the program.

BIT Mesra MCA Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates should have passed class 10+2, or equivalent examination as one of the subjects in Computer Science / Mathematics / Information Practices.
• The candidate should have completed his graduation with the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Computer Applications degree
• B.Sc. in Information Technology /computer science / Electronics, or 
• B.Sc. degree with any of Statistics or Mathematics subjects.
• The candidates should have passed the above-mentioned qualifications with minimum score marks of 55% for general and 50% (for SC/ ST/ PWD).
• The candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply, and if selected, their admission will be provisional. 

The candidates with correspondence or distance learning programs are eligible, only if the program is recognized by DEC-IGNOU.
